Emerald Ash Borer Examination
It’s time for an EAB examination.
Do you have the disease?
Can it be prevented?
What is the prognosis?
In 2002 the dreaded Agrilus planipennis Fairmaire parasite was discovered in Michigan and found its way to Ohio the following year. The victims are young and old, strong and weak. Left untreated it is fatal.
The Emerald Ash borer or EAB attacks ash trees.
These invasive green beetles begin their damage by landing in the tops of the Ash tree and feeding on the leaves. Their eggs are laid on the trunk and major branches and when hatched the larvae bore into the tree to feed, destroying the tissues that conduct water and nutrients.
Prevention and early detection is the key to longevity!
But, relax. We can help!
We can stop the borers in their tracks with strategic injections at the base of the Ash tree trunk. This must occur during a specific window of larvae activity, so let us know soon if you’d like us to help save from the Emerald Ash Borer.
No, not you. Your ash trees.
